Expanding Our Downtown Presence

We've signed a lease for additional office space on Nariman Narimanov Avenue. The new space gives us room for client meetings that actually feel comfortable—something we've needed since last autumn when we kept squeezing everyone into our main conference room.

Construction starts in May, and we're hoping to have everything ready by late July. Our architect, Leyla, has some interesting ideas about creating flexible meeting spaces that don't feel like typical corporate boxes.

Team Changes and New Faces

Rasim joined us last month as our operations coordinator. He previously worked with a logistics firm in Istanbul and brings some much-needed organization to how we handle project timelines. Already, we're seeing fewer scheduling conflicts and better client communication.

We're also looking for someone to handle client relations starting this summer. If you know anyone who's good with people and doesn't mind the occasional chaotic afternoon, send them our way.

A Conversation with Our Operations Lead

Farid Mammadov, Operations Lead at Blitznet Codewave

Farid Mammadov

Operations Lead

I've been with Blitznet Codewave for about eighteen months now. Before this, I spent five years at a consulting firm in Dubai—great experience, but the work felt disconnected from actual outcomes. Here in Baku, you see the direct impact of what we do.

The challenge with professional services is balancing client expectations with realistic timelines. Everyone wants things done yesterday, and we get that urgency. But rushing through processes usually means fixing problems later. My job involves having those honest conversations early—setting expectations that might feel uncomfortable but prevent bigger headaches down the road.

What keeps me here? The team, honestly. We're small enough that everyone's opinion matters, but experienced enough that we're not making amateur mistakes. Plus, working in Azerbaijan's growing professional services sector feels like being part of something that's still taking shape. There's room to try new approaches.

Helping a Local Retail Chain Reorganize

A family-owned retail business came to us last autumn with what seemed like a straightforward request—they needed help streamlining their inventory management. What we discovered was that their real challenge involved communication gaps between three different warehouse locations and their central office.

We spent December working with their team to map out existing workflows and identify bottlenecks. The solution wasn't fancy technology—it was better processes and clearer responsibilities. They've seen noticeable improvements in order accuracy, and their staff seems less stressed during peak periods.

Supporting a Healthcare Startup Through Growth

A small healthcare services startup approached us when they secured their second round of funding. They had big plans but limited operational experience. Our role focused on helping them establish sustainable processes before they scaled up too quickly.

We worked alongside their founding team for three months, helping with everything from client onboarding procedures to vendor management. They officially launched their expanded services in February 2025, and so far, growth has been steady without overwhelming their small team.

Navigating Regulatory Changes with Manufacturing Client

When new compliance requirements hit Azerbaijan's manufacturing sector last year, one of our longtime clients needed guidance fast. The regulations affected their export documentation and quality control processes.

We connected them with legal specialists and helped coordinate the transition to new procedures. There were some tense moments—especially when deadlines felt impossible—but they made the transition without disrupting their production schedule. Sometimes professional services work is just about being a steady presence during stressful changes.
